Beginning Monday, April 27th, all Lake Anne students will enter their "classrooms" and "office hours" through a private Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) link that was sent to their FCPS Gmail address. These are unique links that are sent directly from Blackboard Collaborate and cannot be shared with another user. If your Dolphin did not get a link or cannot locate it the email, please contact their classroom teacher. Students will not have private Blackboard Collaborate links sent to them for Specials. Lake Anne students will continue to meet with Specials teachers through links that are located in Blackboard 24/7. This is the method that was implemented last Monday. Students will log into Blackboard 24/7, click on "Lake Anne Distance Learning Specials," and then click on the "BB Collaborate" button on the menu on the left side. This will bring up all of the BBCU links of the Specials teachers. Please locate your teacher for the day. K-2 specials take place from 12:30-1 and 3-6 specials take place from 12:30-1:30. Lake Anne students will also continue to have Library time scheduled for once a week. Blackboard Collaborate Links for Library are located in Blackboard 24/7 in the same location as Specials. Please refer to the following schedule for Library time:

The WLAS Morning News Crew is still hard at work and has continued to produce a new show everyday since April 14th. Check out a new episode every Monday through Friday morning at 9am. The episodes are posted on the Specials Blacboard 24/7 page as an announcement. If you miss an episode, you can catch previous episodes on the same page.
Our LAES counselors now have their own Blackboard 24/7 course. Please visit it with your student! This site includes weekly lessons, parent resources, mindfulness activities and much more. This week’s lesson focuses on flexibility and organization. You can find the link on each grade level’s blackboard under “Counselor’s Corner!”

McLean Bible Church in partnership with Capital Area Food Bank will be distributing food at Lake Anne ES every other Saturday from 10am-12:30pm. The next distribution date is TOMORROW, SATURDAY April 25th. There are also distributions on May 9th and May 23rd. |

Families can come in and shop our FREE non perishable food pantry, make requests for beef, chicken, pork, cheeses, juices, eggs, yogurts, milk, and other refrigerated food Items, as well as FREE Health and Household items of Need. |

The Reston YMCA is offering produce distribution on Wednesdays from 4-6pm and Thursdays from 9am-2pm. Produce is available for anyone, regardless of their affiliation with the YMCA. Please bring your own bag. For more information, contact health@ymcadc.org. |
