We look forward to resuming Distance Learning on Monday, April 27. Below are directions for students to access the link to their virtual classrooms for Monday. We plan on conducting our classes similar to this past Monday, but without the tech glitches!

Grades will be available in ParentVUE on Saturday, May 9. The plan is for report card mailings to all parents/guardians to begin on May 12, 2020.

MESSAGE FROM CROSSFIELD PTO

Dear Crossfield Community,

We know you are all reeling from our current circumstances, the announcement of Crossfield's closure and subsequent unknowns. This may be an abrupt end to our classroom learning, but it will not be an end to our Crossfield community. We  have a few loose ends we'd like to address. Please review each topic in bold below and address questions directly to Lori and Jill at president@crossfieldpto.org. We are in continued conversations with administration on best ways to move forward.

  • Yearbooks: We are moving forward and yearbooks will be delivered to Crossfield in early June. When the time gets closer, we will determine a method of safe delivery to your students.
  • First Day School Supplies: Save yourself another headache and take advantage of First Day School Supplies, now available for Crossfield. Kits with all of the supplies your student will need for the 20-21 year will be delivered to students' classes before school begins. Order here: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=108816
  • Teacher Appreciation Week: Now, more than ever, we will celebrate the creativity, tirelessness and dedication of our amazing Crossfield staff. We plan to move forward with Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8 with several modifications. We will move this to a virtual effort for this year and plan to celebrate our staff thoroughly upon our return to school in the Fall. Please stay tuned for more information.
  • After-school programs: Families enrolled in Spring programs should have heard from our vendor about refunds. If you have not or have concerns, please contact us.

We ask that anyone with questions or concerns please reach out to us directly at president@crossfieldpto.org and please follow our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CrossfieldES/ as we will continue to provide updates there.

The PTO Board is in discussion with Mr. Granieri about the best ways to support our staff for the remainder of the year--whatever that looks like. We encourage each of you to take a minute to write a note of encouragement to your teachers or any staff who have touched your children's lives--many are deeply feeling the loss of their industry and missing your sweet kids.

In addition, if there is any way that our community can support you or your family, please inform Thaisa York or Mr. Granieri. Our PTO remains here for each of you and your families as you have always been there for the PTO. Stay safe during this hard time and please know that our strong school community will get through this together.

Warmly,
The PTO Board
Lori Imeish, Jill DeVoe, Catherine Lamoureux, Shirley DeRosa, Christina Jones, Sarah Catalano, Lynn Cooper, and Jennifer DeAngelis
