Class of 2020 Updates
Thank you senior families for completing the graduation survey. Your feedback was given to the FCPS c/o 2020 graduation planning committee. A meeting will be held today to consider your ideas and to begin finalizing the plan for graduation. As soon as final decisions and plans are available I will share them immediately. The vast majority of seniors across the district have expressed wanting to have some form of a live graduation. The options for this are being explored by the committee
For now, we have purchased caps and gowns, cords, and diploma covers. These items will be available to you regardless of the form graduation will take. Once the final plans for graduation are complete we will know what the final costs will be for the senior class. All unused senior dues will be reimbursed.

Reimbursements/Refunds
Parking passes and field trip fees will be refunded. The process will take time as all refunds will be by check. Parking fees will be prorated and refunded by FCPS. No additional steps will need to be taken by you.
Field Trip Refund Request Process
FCPS understands this is a difficult time financially for many of our families. The Department of Financial Services has received various inquiries from schools and parents about the refund process for canceled field trips due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent school closures. Any field trip related reimbursements to FCPS are subject to contracts terms with travel brokers/vendors and non-refundable fees. These factors must be evaluated to determine potential balances available for refunds to students and parents.
WPHS will settle each field trip with the travel broker/vendor to determine the amount (if any) available for field trip refunds.
