Camelot's Weekly Events 4-21-20

Hello Families,

This morning you will receive a message from your child's teacher about today's learning and activities that are specific to your child's classroom. Today's learning will not be live for the most part.

Today, staff will be receiving additional information from FCPS about next steps and configuring technology.  Teachers will also be in touch as soon as we know more about these next steps.  We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we all adapt and adjust to the changing conditions.  In all of FCPS, we want nothing more than to be engaged with your children online.

Thank you for the positive and encouraging messages many of you have sent to our teachers and staff.  These mean more than you can imagine at this time of being apart.

Thank you,

Aileen Flaherty, Principal

Matt Salerno, Assistant Principal

Virtual Art Show

We have made videos of the art work that we were not able to share since Authors and Artists Night was canceled.  We will post a new grade level video on our website each time we share a new News You Choose for the next few weeks.  Today, we have posted the work of our 3rd grade artists.  Enjoy!  https://camelotes.fcps.edu/features/art-show

Friday Fun!

This week's Friday Fun activity is: Random Acts of Kindness Friday!

This week, make a list of ways to surprise the members of your household (or even your neighbors) with acts of kindness.  Carry these acts out during the week--or make Friday the day!

Maybe you will: do something without being asked, write a note of appreciation, invite a sibling to play a game with you, post a note of encouragement on your front door for others to see, etc......

Photos

We would love to see photos of you while we are apart.  Send photos to us at this link:  Camelot Photos

By sending us photos, you are giving us permission to post them in our News You Choose or our yearbook.  While we will not be able to post all of them, we will enjoy looking at them!

We're happy to see Allison staying fit by jump roping, Phillip showing his school spirit with Flame, Kai celebrating the first day of Home School or Distance Learning, and Liam working online!
