Kilmer MS News You Choose and Learning at Home #29

d

Ms. Kozik and Ms. Gorman hosted a Lion King closing event for all students involved in the musical. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication!

From the Principal's Desk:

April 17, 2020

Dear Kilmer Families,

It was wonderful connecting with many of you during the Virtual Information Session held at the beginning of this week. We recorded the sessions and they can be found here. Please note that all three of the sessions cover the same information.

Monday is an asynchronous learning day. On asynchronous days students can complete posted assignments and access posted resources. Tuesday is an asynchronous and office hours day which means students can connect with teachers virtually as well as continuing to complete assignments. Please note that all teachers, elective and core teachers, hold office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I want to take a moment to send a huge thank you to our amazing Kilmer Staff. Their commitment, dedication, and care for the Kilmer students and community is so strong and apparent. Despite some challenges, the Kilmer staff has worked so hard to transition to Distance Learning, overcome some bumps in the road, and be a positive certain during an uncertain time. It is a true honor to be part of such and amazing team!

Sincerely,

Amy Miller

Principal

Announcements

Learning Packets

The FCPS Learning Packets provide opportunities for students to practice and apply skills while supporting student needs for engagement, critical thinking, and movement. Learning Packets are mailed out weekly from FCPS. In addition to being mailed out they are posted on FCPS-24-7 Blackboard.

If you plan to access the learning packets online by logging into FCPS 24-7 Blackboard, you can choose to go paperless and opt out of receiving the mailed copies.

Families who opt out will be notified by email and will have the opportunity to opt back into receiving printed packets by following the instructions on the email.

To stop receiving the printed packets, you will need your student's FCPS student ID and the enrolling parent’s email address.

Please expect to receive at least one additional printed learning packet after your request to go paperless is entered.
