A Message from the Forestdale PTA

A Message from the Forestdale PTA:

Forestdale Families,

Over the past few weeks, while we have been working hard at home with our children, our Forestdale staff has worked tirelessly to prepare for our students’ distance learning. They’ve been working hard to plan meaningful learning experiences for independent asynchronous time, virtual learning, and office hours; they’ve set up the Blackboard Collaborate Ultra sessions our children log into each day, and they’ve worked hard to communicate with us frequently.  As we know, recently things haven’t worked out as FCPS hoped, and our staff has been resilient and positive no matter what.

Our teachers have worked hard to support us during this unprecedented time, and we thought we should show them how much we miss them and appreciate all they are doing. We know that the Forestdale staff meets virtually for staff meetings throughout each week. During those meetings, we’d like to share notes or pictures from our students and families to remind them how much we love them, miss them, care about them, and appreciate them.  Seeing or hearing from their students is what warms teachers’ hearts the most.

If you’d like to join in this optional opportunity, please have your child make a sign, video, or letter. Then, take a picture of it or scan it, and email it to forestdaleptatreasurer@gmail.com. You can also email a message to be shared with the staff. We’ll take all contributions until the end of the school year.

We know the staff of Forestdale will love all of the messages from students and their families! Thanks for helping us show our appreciation to our amazing Forestdale staff!
