Good Afternoon Glen Forest Families,
Yesterday we started our Distance Learning and had a wonderful time reconnecting with our students. Unfortunately, there were students in Fairfax County that acted inappropriately using the online program. We are embedding the links to our classroom sessions in your children’s Blackboard 24-7 Learning accounts. These daily links will give your children direct access to their teacher’s site and provide easy access to classroom recordings, for those unable to attend class at the designated time.
Below are directions to help you and your children access the new links. We have provided written instructions as well as a video link. We plan to start instruction 2 hours later then yesterday. Therefore, Kindergarten, 1st and 5th grades should start at 11 am and 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades at 12 noon. We intend to hold our afternoon sessions, too.
We apologize for all this confusion and ask that you be patient with us, as we learn to navigate this new way of interacting with your children.
Sincerely,
Cindi Choate
Principal
