On Monday, March 30, we kicked off HES Virtual Spirit Week with Spirit Day!  We had staff, students, and families show their spirit on Herndon ES Twitter @Herndon_ES .  We will be uploading these photos to the Herndon ES website soon!

Spring Break is April 6-10

Dear Herndon ES Families,

We want to wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy, and relaxing Spring Break.  

Grab and Go Meals will continue during spring break, Monday-Friday and  has new hours:  10am-1pm.

Distance Learning will begin on Tuesday, April 14th

Every Herndon ES student will be receiving FREE school supplies in the mail.

Every Student at Herndon ES to Receive FREE School Supplies

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of FCPS Title I/OPLFE, FCPS Foundation, Office of Communication (OCCR), and DSS, they will be providing a school supply kit to EVERY student in all Title I schools!  This includes Herndon ES!  Your child’s kit will be mailed directly to your home.  Please remember to check your mailbox beginning next week.

Herndon ES art teacher, Ms. McDonald, would like to share this global chalk painting celebration for you to do at home while keeping social distance.  It is a replacement for Chalk4Peace this year. You may use crayons/pencils and paper if you don't have chalk.
