From the Principal's Desk
Dear Members of the Chantilly Community:
Good afternoon. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy. I know things have been pretty frustrating over the past few days in regards to the Distance Learning Plan. We at Chantilly HS remain committed to doing the best we can to maintain the continuity of learning. Like you, we remain hopeful that the technical problems of the plan will be worked out soon. I’ve been reluctant to communicate anything to you over the past few days because I’m waiting for further instructions. In the meantime, we will do our best to maintain the asynchronous aspects of the distance learning plan and ask that you encourage your son or daughter to do the same. I will follow up as soon as I receive additional information.
Have a good weekend,
Scott Poole

Tilly Tune of the Week
Alright, let's have some fun! Each week we'll post a new song, the "Tilly Tune of the Week," and invite our CHS community (kids, parents, cats, goldfish...) to share a performance of the tune with us via email. We'll put together a "community performance" of each tune based on the submissions received!
This week's tune - CHANTILLY LACE!
Email your recording (audio or video) to tillytune2020@gmail.com and we'll take care of the rest! Below's a teaser of what we'll try and do with everything we receive!

Kudos to Molly Marsh, (Senior) who recently asked Dr. Poole if she could paint the spirit wall to thank our local healthcare workers and our teachers for all their hard work and sacrifice. She said " I would be alone, wearing a mask, so as to follow through with social distancing rules... I’m simply looking for a way to show our gratitude on behalf of Chantilly." Thanks Molly on behalf of our entire Chantilly HS community!

OTHER WAYS YOUR COMMUNITIES CAN HELP
DONATE: Every dollar donated to Chefs Feeding Families makes a difference for those we serve. Together, we can support even more of our neighbors in need.
ORDER: Pre-Order a Pizza Kit from Pizzeria Paradiso to make with your family. Donations will directly help families in need though Chefs Feeding Families. Kits include all the ingredients needed to make two wholesome 12” pizzas (dough, sauce, cheese and veggie toppings). Kits may be ordered for pickup at the ACCA Child Development Center (Saturdays 4-5 PM) or John Calvin Presbyterian Church (Sundays 4-5 PM).
VOLUNTEER: Our Chefs Feeding Family site at Silver Diner – RIO in Gaithersburg needs volunteers Monday – Friday to assist with meal distribution. This is a low-risk, low-exposure opportunity for community members looking to lend a hand.
