Lees Corner Updates 3/28/20

Good morning Lees Corner Families!

Our staff has been thinking about all of you and we miss you. We can’t wait to see your faces and hear your voices when we begin distance learning!

To plan for distance learning, we need to make sure we know about each student’s access to technology at home and whether students have their musical instruments.

For students in Grades 3-6, we are currently arranging for appointment-only pick-up times for these items. We ask that parents of students in grades 3-6 please fill out the LCES Laptop & Instrument Pick Up Request Form to request the pickup of these items.

Once the form is completed, a staff member will reach out to you and provide  further instructions regarding your scheduled pickup time and procedures. During pickup, we must follow CDC guidelines which include social/physical distancing and no gatherings greater than 10, so you will only able to pick up items at your designated time. Pickup will be curbside and you will remain in your car.

For students in Grades K-2, we will not be distributing laptops however, we ask that you please fill out the LCES Access to Technology for Students in Grades K-2 Form so that your child’s classroom teacher may know if you have a device at home that your child can use to access learning online. This information will help drive the teacher’s decisions about communication and instruction moving forward.

Our staff has been communicating and collaborating in preparation for the start of distance learning which will begin on April 14th. We will share more information with you next week about teaching and learning schedules and the technology tools teachers and students will use for learning.

Sincerely,

VaRonica Sloan, Principal
