Dear Stenwood Families,
We know that COVID-19 is on everyone’s minds. Please know that Stenwood is following all of the guidelines put in place by FCPS in conjunction with the Health Department. If you have not been reading the communication from Dr. Brabrand, please do so as it contains the most up to date information. In an effort to keep the information up to date and streamlined, we have not been repeating or resending the information included in those emails. Here is a link to the FCPS page dedicated to COVID-19 that is constantly being updated. We would also encourage you to be careful about the conversations you are having in earshot of your children; we want to ensure we protect them from any information that could be misinterpreted or create anxiety.
Daylight savings time is a hard adjustment for most of us. Please be aware that our Kiss N Ride opens at 8:20 in the morning and closes at 8:38. When we were at Kiss N Ride this morning, we noticed that we have a lot of students arriving between 8:35 and 8:38. Please consider adjusting your arrival time so that students can be in their seats and learning by 8:40.
Thanks to our PTA for the amazing Wacky Science assembly this morning! Can’t wait to hear about the amazing science tricks they will be performing for you at home. P.S. do the water trick over the sink, just in case :-).
Tomorrow you will be receiving an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few moments to complete the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback survey. We truly value your feedback and appreciate you taking the time to complete it. For more information about the content and purpose of the survey, please see below. At any time feel free to reach out to either one of us about questions or concerns you have about Stenwood.
Sincerely, Erica Riley, Principal Meredith Mitchell, Assistant Principal
