Message from the Principal

Langley HS

Greetings Saxons,

What a week it has been in Saxon Country. Our students continue to excel and amaze in the academic arena as well as on the court, in the pool, and on the mat!

We welcome Dave Murray, our new head varsity football coach, to Saxon Country!

Congratulations to the senior members of the Lady Saxons basketball team!

Last Saturday, our Saxon Quiz Bowl team competed in the semi-finals of It’s Academic. The show will air on May 9. Be sure to tune in!

Thanks to each member of the Langley community who supported the pyramid Rise Against Hunger event. A special shout out goes to Honorable Elaine Tholen, FCPS Dranesville District School Board Member; Honorable Rachna Sizemore Heizer, FCPS School Board Member at Large; FCPS Deputy Superintendent Dr. Frances Ivey, Region Assistant Superintendent Douglas Tyson for their presence and support. Much appreciation to our crew team who spent hours on Friday evening setting up for the community event. Many current and future Saxons, along with their families, packed the meals on Saturday.

Final  Shout Outs

Good luck to Langley Swim in the regional competition to be held tomorrow evening.

We wish our Saxon basketball teams much luck as they compete in the first round of the district tournament tonight.
