Principal's Message

Dear Hughes Parents, Guardians, and Students

We began the week eating cupcakes with the over 300 A/B Honor Roll students and ended with sugary lollipops in our SCA Valentine Candy Gram delivery.  Our staff also enjoyed the PTA candy gift bags and sugary treats. Thank you so much to the parents for donating time and resources to the PTA. Because of you we are able to celebrate the whole community at Langston Hughes. We are grateful for your support.

Sincerely,

Aimée Monticchio

Principal

Please be reminded that are no UTurns allowed on Ridge Heights Rd. The speed limit is 25 MPH. Also, students need to remain seat-belted until the vehicle stops. These traffic laws will be enforced by FCPD. We are also continuing to get complaints from the neighborhoods along Ridge Heights about cars using those side streets to turn around after dropping off their children. These areas are private property and are marked with no trespassing signs. Therefore it is illegal to use these side streets for the purposes of turning around or dropping off your children. If you have any questions regarding these topics, feel free to contact the Langston Hughes School Resource Officer, Tim Wissinger.
