Principal's Message

Dear Hughes Parents, Guardians, and Students

We enjoyed a celebration of our 195 All A Honor Roll students today and will treat our A/B Honor Roll students on Monday to a sweet.  We are pleased to recognize the hard work and achievement of our students in this way.  We appreciate the support that families provide to encourage and help their students earn good reports.  Please plan to visit our school during the PTA meeting on Thursday, February 13, at 11:30.  You will see a day in action, watch a student performance and hear from our librarians.  The meeting adjourns at 12:30.  All are welcome!

Sincerely,

Aimée Monticchio

Principal

Please be reminded that are no UTurns allowed on Ridge Heights Rd. The speed limit is 25 MPH. Also, students need to remain seat-belted until the vehicle stops. These traffic laws will be enforced by FCPD. We are also continuing to get complaints from the neighborhoods along Ridge Heights about cars using those side streets to turn around after dropping off their children. These areas are private property and are marked with no trespassing signs. Therefore it is illegal to use these side streets for the purposes of turning around or dropping off your children. If you have any questions regarding these topics, feel free to contact the Langston Hughes School Resource Officer, Tim Wissinger.
