After School Activities

We encourage students to participate in the many afterschool activities offered at CVHS.  We also want students to see teachers after school if they need additional help.  Please help us remind your students that if they stay after school they must be with a teacher, club sponsor, or coach.  We have a new Safety and Security Assistant who will be visible during school after hours until 4:30 to help monitor the building.

Report Cards

Please note that the end of the 2nd quarter was January 24th.  Report cards will be distributed to the students on Tuesday, February 4th during their 3rd period and brought home. Be sure to ask your students to show them to you.

Civic Engagement Absences

Parents of students in grades 7-12 may request one partial-day absence for civic engagement activities, such as legislative visits, awareness walks, nonprofit support, or advocacy efforts.

To do so, parents must submit a prearranged absence form and documentation regarding the student’s civic engagement activity. Requests must be submitted at least three to five days in advance of the absence. Parents should plan for their student’s safety and transportation.

Students must attend class for part of the school day in order to participate and are limited to one opportunity per school year.
