Dear Panther Families,
What a rainy week. Our teachers and students would love some sunshine and outdoor recess.
Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday for the Presidents' Day Holiday.
The Principals' Coffee is next Thursday at 8:45am. Our counselors, Shari Hirsch and Beth Mertens, will be sharing information about "Teaching Your Child Resilience." We hope you can join us for the coffee and stay for the PTA meeting that morning.
We hope you have a great three day weekend!
Ms. Andujar and Ms. Walker

Our school goal this year is to raise $10,000. Last year, Poplar Tree raised almost $8,900 and we know we can do even better this year! We are so excited to be able to raise money to help find a cure for Blood Cancer. Encourage your student to look for spare change around the house. Bills and checks made payable to Leukemia Lymphoma Society are also acceptable. If you’d prefer to donate online, you’re in luck! There are several ways to do this.
- You can check out our school’s online donation page at https://events.lls.org/pages/nca/PoplarTreeElementarySchool-2020
- Your child’s teacher will set up a classroom donation page. Check in with your child’s classroom teacher for more information.
- Your child can set up an individual collection page. Information on how to do this can be found in the letter that is coming home today in Friday Folders.
Students can earn a variety of prizes for coin/check/bill and online donations this year. Check out the letter for more information.
The campaign will run until February 21. Please contact Mrs. Sniffin, SCA teacher sponsor, at smsniffin@fcps.edu if you have any further questions. Thank you so much for your support of this wonderful cause!
Come discover the rich learning, student engagement, and media balance that supports Portrait of a Graduate attributes in our Chantilly Pyramid students! There will be a student and teacher panel as well as a showcase of learning.
