Quarterly Positivity Assemblies
On January 31st we will be holding our Quarter 2 Positivity Assembly. One of the purposes of the assembly is to recognize students who have displayed a character trait from the Positivity Project during the second quarter. Your student’s teacher will let you know if your student is receiving an award so that you can make arrangements to attend if you would like.
9:30 am - 10:00 am: Grades 4, 5, and 6
10:15 am - 10:45 am: Grades, K, 1, 2, and 3
School Psychologist
Did you know that there is a School Psychologist assigned to EVERY school in FCPS? FCPS School Psychologists are working hard to make a positive impact on the academic and social-emotional development of all FCPS students through the provision of mental health services that build resiliency, life competencies and good citizenship. Villa Gives Laundry Drive
This year, the Fairfax Villa SCA is sponsoring the Villa Gives Laundry Drive. We will be collecting laundry cleaning items to donate to a local family shelter, during the week of February 10-14. These items will be used for families at the shelter and for families that are transitioning into their own housing.
Examples, liquid laundry detergent, powder laundry detergent, laundry detergent pods, and dryer sheets etc.

Presented by W.T. Woodson’s Choral Department
Show dates this year are Thursday-Saturday, January 23-25, with a preview show on Wednesday, January 22 for teachers and staff.
Tickets for the general can be purchased by visiting www.ticketleap.com (please search DESSERT ON BROADWAY). All purchases will require a credit card, along with the purchaser’s billing information. Shows usually sell out well in advance – so don’t delay!
