Dragons Share. Many thanks to the families who sign up!  If you would like to help deliver unopened food items, fruit, and milk from our school cafeteria to Food For Others at 2938 Prosperity Drive on Wednesdays/Fridays, please sign up! Speaker Presentation and PTA Meeting-  Wednesday January 22 at 7:00pm. Do you have trouble with your kid’s getting organized and doing their homework? Join us next week! Special guest speaker Ann Dolin, M.Ed., will talk about Elementary Excellence: Simple Steps to Help Your Child Become an Independent Learner. Ann is the founder of Education Connections where she and her team (of 180+ tutors) have helped thousands of children and families reduce stress, improve their relationships and reach their full academic potential.

InCourage Burke - Toy Story PTA drop-off fundraiser! January 24th 6:30-9:30pm.  Parents can enjoy some downtime or a date while the kids get exercise and have a great time with friends, old and new. Pizza dinner is included. There will be Toy Story themed active games and crafts, and we'll end the night with a showing of Toy Story 4! The cost is $25 per child and the most awesome part is that 100% of the proceeds go to Camelot! Register (each child separately) at this link. Please note: this event is run by InCourage Burke and not by our PTA. We will not be on site to oversee childcare.

PTA Executive Board Member Nominations. Serving on the PTA executive board is a great way to get involved with the school. This April, we will elect a new PTA executive board. Open positions include President, VP Social, VP Ways and Means and Secretary. Job descriptions are here. We need parents and teachers to raise their hand to get involved!  To learn more about the positions, contact camelot.elementary.pta@gmail.com

BINGO NIGHT is February 7, 6pm: Preorder your meals now! Get your daubers ready, because Bingo Night is coming up on February 7! Look for the flyer and meal pre-order form in this week’s Thursday folder. Be sure to pre-order your pizza because no one should play Bingo on an empty stomach! Lost your flyer? Print another here

*Donate items for prizes - clean out your toy chests, drawers and cabinets for new/never used/gently used toys and books  (no stuffed animals, please). We are collecting the items in the drop off box in the front hall through February 7 . Popular toys from years past include Happy Meal prizes, LEGOS/Minifigures, My Little Pony etc.

*Sign up to volunteer on Bingo Night - we need volunteers to make this night a success! Use the Sign-Up Genius or email vpwayscamelotpta@gmail.com if you can volunteer for a short shift (set up, selling food or bingo cards, checking winning cards, distributing prizes).

Volunteer Spotlight:  Kelly and Dave Pike!  Kelly and Dave have run Donuts with Grownups two years in a row now and it is a happy very morning for kids and their grownup friends. This year the program was expanded to allow all students to receive a gigantic donut from Shoppers! Thank you to Kelly and Dave for all of your hard work organizing the schedule, layout, ordering and volunteers for this wonderful event! Their daughters Emmy and Maddie also helped out-- it’s great to see the entire family come together to help run an event for the community. We are grateful for you Pike family!
