MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL: Science Fair/National History Day Fair

Science Fair

On Thursday, January 30, 2020, students will be participating in our school fair.   We need your help with judging.  We ask that judges arrive between 3:30-3:45 p.m. to read abstracts & grab some light refreshments because judging will begin at 4:00 p.m.  All judging must be completed at 6:30 p.m., but if your judging category is done prior to this time, you are free to leave.

This is a valuable experience and for many this type of independent research is their first experience with hands-on science.  The fair provides students the opportunity to see not only what their peers have done, but also to gain the experience of presenting to and getting feedback from knowledgeable adults.

You do not need an advanced degree in the field, but we will be asking you to assess the students’ abilities to communicate their understanding of the experiment, as well as their scientific thought and process.

If you are willing to participate, please complete this survey.

Sincerely,
