Congratulations to Our Bailey's Upper Award Recipients!

Thank you for taking the time to recognize staff through the FCPS award nomination process.  We received many nominations from staff, community members, and students.  The Bailey's Upper recipients moved on to the Justice Pyramid for consideration.  Our Bailey's Upper Award Recipients are:

Outstanding Principal: Marie Lemmon

Outstanding New Teacher: Shelby Johnston

Outstanding Teacher: Tiffany Hunter

Outstanding Professional Employee: Nicole Cassidy

Outstanding Operational Employee: Lucinda Del Carpio

 

Additionally, Nicole Cassidy was selected as the Outstanding Professional Employee for the Justice Pyramid and she will now be moving on to compete at the Region level. Way to go Ms Cassidy!

Navigating FCPS Special Services

A Special Presentation for all Justice Pyramid Families will be held on TUESDAY, JANUARY 14th at 7:00PM at GLASGOW MIDDLE SCHOOL (4101 Fairfax Pkwy, Lincolnia, VA 22312)

 At this event, it will share everything you need to know… but didn’t know who to ask! 

  • Getting started with special services. 
  • All about acronyms- 2E, IEP, 504 and more.
  • Where to find free workshops, educational materials, lending library and confidential consultations for families.
  • Where to go to resolve concerns, complaints and student-related issues.
  • How to work with other advocates for special education.
  • How to provide input and recommendations related to supports and services.

Rising 6th Grade Parent Night at Glasgow Middle School

Rising 6th Grade Parent Night at Glasgow Middle School

Come to Glasgow Middle School on January 8 from 6-8pm for an Open House to learn more about what middle school at Glasgow is all about! They will offer short (optional) sessions on our various Glasgow programs, and teachers will be in their classrooms throughout the evening to share all about our core and elective courses for 6th Graders. The goal is for you to leave this event excited about all the opportunities you will have as a Glasgow Panther and prepared to complete your course request form! Winter Break Reading

All 3rd through 5th grade students will receive a Winter Break Reading form in their Thursday folders on December 19th. Students who read 3 books over the break and return the completed form to Bailey’s Upper library by Friday, January 17th will be able to choose a free book and bookmark, as well as will also be invited to our January popcorn party.
