Thank you to all those who donated coats, winter accessories, hot chocolate and cookies for our 4th annual Cocoa & Coats event. It was a huge success! With your help we were able to provide winter clothing for over 60 families. Special shout out to the Herndon PTA and Suzanne Flegal at Holy Cross for donating and providing volunteers. Happy Holidays!

Herb Sale

Please support our Hawk Garden by buying a potted herb. Herbs were grown and cared for by Hawk Garden students. Hawk Garden is a special Hawktime at Herndon Middle.  Students learn how to grow vegetables organically and then we donate them to the local food bank (or kids take them home to eat).  We donated more than 4 crates of vegetables to the food bank for Thanksgiving! 100% of sales from herbs go directly to Hawk Garden to buy supplies and seeds for the spring.

We are selling single basil and single cilantro pots for $1 and larger combination pots of 3 different herbs (which may include basil, dill, thyme, or cilantro – our choice) for $3. You can purchase one by sending in money or a check (made out to Herndon Middle School) with your student who can bring it to room 210 during Hawktime or lunch.  Please include a note specifying which type of pot you want (single basil, single cilantro, or combo).

We are also running a No Fuss Fundraiser (available on My School Bucks) for donations and we graciously accept used hand tools such as shovels, hoes, hoses, sprayers etc.
