Self-Control/Kindness

Dear Marshall Road Families,

Your children have exceeded our expectations this month as they have celebrated, modeled and spread kindness throughout our classrooms, the school and the community. The love that has been shared is nothing short of extraordinary! Thank you parents for teaching and modeling kindness to your children. This last week before the winter break we are encouraged to teach and practice self-control along with kindness. Wow! Practicing self-control the week before vacation is not easy for any of us. We will try our best to teach the students that they have the ability to control their emotions and behaviors as long as they think before they act. We will encourage them to use kindness as their guide. Thank you again for helping our young Roadrunners learn these valuable character traits. Don’t forget, next Friday, December 20 is Wear your Comfy Clothes/Pajama Day. The PTA and the school will work together to provide a popcorn party to the entire school community. The students earned this celebratory day by reaching our goals at the runathon.

“You have the power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” - Marcus Aurelius

Our students in chorus, band and strings have been practicing for months and are excited to share their beautiful music with you!  Please join us on Tuesday, December 17 at 6:30 pm for our Winter Concert.

Have a great weekend.
