Attendance Matters!

Every year, school absences spike in the weeks before and after winter break, as families squeeze a few more days of
vacation out of the holiday season. Let’s break that cycle. Make sure your child is in school every day. Because the best
gift you can give your child is a good education!

Lost and Found 

As the weather changes student often misplace gloves, hats and scarves.  We collect these items and place them in our lost and found located in the cafeteria.  Students and families are welcome to look for missing items there. All items remaining during winter break will be donated.

Week of Inspirational Math

Every Thursday leading up to winter break, excluding the week of Thanksgiving, students will receive an inspirational math task in their Thursday folder. It’s an opportunity for students to partner with family members to collaboratively solve a math problem.

Tasks are to be turned in by Wednesday of the following week. Students who complete the task, regardless of whether the work is wrong or right, will be acknowledged for their efforts on the Dogwood Morning News Show every Friday.

Dogwood Hours:

8:35am: Doors open 

Bus riders and walkers enter through the front door and Kiss and Ride students enter through 5. All students go directly to classrooms.

8:50 am: Instruction begins

3:35 pm: Dismissal

Any changes to Dismissal procedures must be communicated before 3 pm.
