Library News
We’re happy to report that students at Irving are keeping us busy in the library! We’re excited that so many students continue to borrow library books to have on hand for Take Ten reading time and for reading in the evenings and on weekends. Irving’s reading culture is growing, with students and teachers becoming more interested in reading and talking about books and authors. Bring up the topic at your next dinner together.
As always, we’d like for our students to return their items on time so that others waiting for them can have access. If you happen to notice a library book in your child’s room that has gathered a layer of dust, please check the due date stamped in the back and encourage them to return any that are overdue.
As you look ahead to the Winter Break, please remember to get a book to read or to borrow the electronic and / or audiobooks available by logging in to “Irving Middle School” and using their network ID and password on mackinvia.com

Parking for Pick Up After School
If you are picking up your child after the 2nd after school block (4:35 pm), please do not wait in the bus loop or along the curb in front of the school. We need this space for the late buses when they arrive to pick up students. For kiss-and-ride after 4:30 pm, please use the normal kiss-and-ride lane.
Please contact the After School Program Specialist, Emily Geary (emgeary@fcps.edu) with questions about the after school program.
