When visiting Lake Anne, please park only in designated parking spaces. Do not park along any yellow curbs or in the dumpster area. We have had numerous situations where cars have blocked FCPS maintenance vehicles from accessing necessary equipment due to parking in unauthorized areas. Thank you for your cooperation. |

As winter approaches and bad weather or other emergency situations occur, it may be necessary for FCPS to cancel, delay, or close schools early. Parents and students should have a well-communicated plan in place in the event of these emergency situations. Children need to know where to go or what to do if a parent will not be home. Please see the FCPS Weather Cancellation Procedures page for more information about weather decisions.

Visulization: This strategy opens up student thinking by using sensory information to stimulate imagination with both spoken and written words. The process of visualization can also help students plan out an experience before execution. Students can “see” roadblocks and problems before encountering them. This strategy helps with planning, goal-setting, and organization. Research studies have shown that visualization greatly increases the level and depth of comprehension of both spoken and written words. Visualization can be a powerful strategy for helping your child set goals, picture the steps that need to be taken, consider alternatives, and visualize a plan to achieve their goals. See the strategy by watching this video.
