International Food Day in AP Human Geography! Students brought in dishes from the countries they are studying this year and even tried some crickets!

 

Dear Parents,

As we come to the close of a difficult week and prepare for the Thanksgiving Holiday, I want to express how thankful I am for our students and staff.  I am proud of how our teachers and staff have supported and cared for our students while maintaining the normal and comforting routines of school. We really are a family here at Fairfax High School.

I wish you all a Thanksgiving filled with good food and the company of friends and family!

Congratulations to National Merit Scholarship Candidate

Congratulations to Rebecca McDonald, a candidate in the competition for a Special Scholarship to be awarded through the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program and sponsored by the Raytheon Company!

The Fall Athletic Banquet is Monday Nigh, November 25th at 6:30pm.  Come out to the Pot Luck Dinner and Special Awards Ceremony which will follow in the auditorium.

Spotlight on Choral Student

This week, senior Charles Wolfer will be traveling to Hot Springs, VA as a selected member of the Virginia Music Educators Association Senior Honor Choir. The choir will be conducted by Dr. Andre Thomas  of Florida State University. This is the highest state level ensemble a high school student can audition and be selected for and we are so proud he will represent Fairfax High School! The concert takes place on Saturday, November 23 at the Homestead in Hot Springs, VA.
