5. Student Electives Fairs
This year we will have our first Student Electives Fairs!
Students in the ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades will have the opportunity to visit six pre-selected sessions (three on December 4th and three on December 12th) to learn about the elective classes Woodson High School has to offer.
The fairs will take place during returns both days and will help students prepare for course selection, which will begin in January. Teachers will prepare 20 minute presentations, which will cover course information, expectations, and any other relevant information students should know. There will also be time for Q&A.
Since these events are taking place during the school day, parents and guardians, rising ninth grade students and their parents and guardians, and families who will be new to Woodson next school year are encouraged to attend our Curriculum Night and Rising Ninth Grade Parent Night being held on January 8th. Details on that program will be released in the coming weeks.
Seniors will not attend the Electives Fairs on December 4th or December 12th. Instead, seniors are scheduled to attend a mandatory wellness program and senior meeting during returns those days.
