Next week’s Positivity Project (P2) character strength is GRATITUDE.  Gratitude is described by P2 as follows:  You are aware of and thankful for good things that happen. For more information, see the Gratitude card, or any other character strength card at https://camelotes.fcps.edu/node/1945. Next week, student’s will have an opportunity to keep track of their expressions of gratitude with a Gratitude BINGO activity.

Book Fair. Our Book Fair is coming soon!  The dates are: December 2-December 6. Hours are 12/2- 9-5pm, 12/3- 9-6pm, 12/4- 9-5pm, 12/5 -8-6pm and 12/6 -8-5pm.  If you would like to help at the book fair, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409094AA8A823A4F49-camelot2

Dragons Share. Many thanks to the families who sign up!  If you would like to help deliver unopened food items, fruit, and milk from our school cafeteria to Food For Others at 2938 Prosperity Drive on Wednesdays/Fridays, please sign up! You may collect items from the refrigerator (anytime) on your assigned day. Food for Others is open from 9:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday. PTA News

Thanksgiving Lunch -- Please consider helping out after your child’s lunch! Thursday, November 21!  We need more help to serve the Thanksgiving lunch-please give some of your time to serve your student’s school community! Come to help serve the students and their families during Camelot’s annual Thanksgiving lunch. Sign up before or after your student’s lunch to help serve turkey, mashed potatoes and the works! Sign up here!

PTA Meeting and Be SMART Presentation -- December 3, 7:15pm. The Be SMART program was created as a response to helplessness that accompanies the rising gun violence in America. This expressly non-political presentation starts a conversation about this public health crisis and safe gun storage as something we can all do to keep our children, families, and communities safe. 

Book Fair Volunteers. Our school book fair is coming up the first week of December (12/2-12/6). Ms. Vickers needs volunteers to help set up the book far and then work the store during the fair. Sign up here to help out.

Donuts with Grownups -- December 5th, 8:30 am. Parents/guardians of K-2 students, mark your calendars and come enjoy a donut with your student in the cafeteria before school to start the day off right! (If you can’t make it, your child will be invited to have a donut with their grade level staff members at the same time, so please let your child’s teacher know if they should not have one.) Also, don’t forget to pop into the Book Fair and pick up your student’s favorite books! (Parents/guardians of 3-6 students, we will have another Donuts with Grownups in January for you and your students.)

Fun Run. The current total received is $16,500! Help us reach $17,000 and the PE teachers get slimed; $20,000 and Mr. Salerno gets duct taped to the wall! Every pledge gets a shot in a grade-wide raffle for prizes like Chuck-E-Cheese gift cards, Nationals throw blanket, and Slime kit. Top earner in each grade gets a $50 Zappos gift card for new running shoes. And grand prize is a hoverboard and Target gift card. Third grade is currently leading with $3200. Money due by 12/6 to be eligible for prizes.

Camelot Cheer is back!  Our Camelot Cheer program is open to everyone grades 1-6. The program starts January 8th and will be Wednesday’s 3:55-5:30 pm. More information on the cheer program is included on a flyer in your student’s Thursday folder today. 

Picture Day retakes-only one volunteer needed!  Receive a $35 voucher that can be used in the future when you volunteer at picture retake day, on Tuesday, November 26th, 9:30-11:30. And if you are really thinking far in advance sign up for Spring Picture Days! Sign up here!
