WIMS Book Club for Parents/Guardians and Staff

We are excited to launch a parent/guardian and staff book club! Join us in reading the book "Middle School Matters" by Phyllis Fagell in the WIMS Book Club. We will utilize a book guide created by the author as we read and discuss the book.  The book club will meet from 6:15-7:00 pm (45 minutes before PTA meetings) on  February 11,  March 10, May 12, and June 9. Light refreshments will be provided during each meeting. If you would like to participate in the book club, please complete the form linked below and we will send the book home with your student. We look forward to rich discussions and learning from all participants!

Library News

We’ve been keeping busy in the Irving Library!

We’re also happy to report that our circulation rates are up!  Students are managing to read through books in their daily Take 10 sessions.  We have heard from several students that they’ve finished their “first whole book” this year in Take 10.  Ask your child over dinner what he or she is reading for Take 10.  If they don’t have a title that they’re enjoying, advise them to come to the library for suggestions and assistance.
