Thanksgiving Gratitude Notes
We are inviting GRES families to express their thanks and write a note of gratitude to their children for Thanksgiving Luncheon! Parents/family members are welcomed to write a small note of thanks that will go on display in the cafeteria TV screens while families eat together during lunch on Thursday, the 21st. Parents can also include a picture of their families to go along with the note. This will be a nice way to share gratitude among the GRES community.
Please include the following details:
-name of child/children
-name of parents
-grade of child and name of teacher
Email the note to gresfamilies@fcps.edu and feel free to also send a picture as an attachment. We look forward to seeing the messages during Thanksgiving Luncheon!

“Lungs Are Meant for Air!”
E-cigarettes, also known as JUULs, vapes, suorins, e-pipes, and vape pens, are not “safe” cigarettes. They work by heating liquid in a device to create a chemical-filled aerosol. They contain nicotine, a highly addictive substance, and other harmful chemicals. Kids’ brains are still developing, so nicotine exposure can disrupt attention and learning. E-cigarettes come in many different flavors that appeal to youth, like mango, cotton candy, and watermelon. E-cigarette use is rising at an alarming rate amongst youth. You can be a good example by starting the conversation about e-cigarettes, being nicotine-free, and empowering your child to make healthy choices.
