POSITIVTY PROJECT

Next week, we'll begin learning about the Other People Matter Mindset (OPM2) element of knowing that our words and actions affect others. This means that everything we do, say, text, tweet, snap, or post can positively or negatively impact other people. “Be mindful with words. A string of some that don’t mean much to you may stick with someone for a lifetime.” #otherpeoplematter

VETERANS DAY RECEPTION

Lake Anne ES will be hosting a reception on Monday November 11 for all Veterans and active military in the Lake Anne Community. It's not too late to attend. There will be a light breakfast, a reception, and a time to honor each of you for your service. The event will begin at 8:20am. For planing purposes, please complete the following interest form:

THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON

We are still in need of volunteers to assist with the Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 14th.

There are three shifts

10:00-11:00
11:00-12:00
12:00-1:00

And three different stations

serving line to help serve food on trays
helping with straws & napkins, etc.
keeping the line moving to guide students through

You do not have to do an entire hour shift, you can do a shorter time frame and/or do a shift or two or three if you like. There is no help too small!

LOST & FOUND

The Lake Anne Lost and Found is overflowing! Please take a moment to
check it out the next time you are at school. It's located next to the cafeteria. Any items that are still left on November 26^th will be donated to a local charity. Thank you. Also please remember to put your students name on their clothing, lunchboxes, backpacks, etc as all items with a name can easily be returned to the student.

NAGLIERI (NNAT) TESTING

All 1st Grade students will be taking the Naglieri Nonverbal Abilities Test (NNAT) on Tuesday November 12th or Wednesday November 13th. It is important for all 1st grade students to be present on the testing days so please do not schedule any appointments for the morning hours on these two days. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jihoon Shin at jshin@fcps.edu.
