Dear Bonnie Brae,
What am amazing 1st quarter we've had! Students and teachers have been working hard at teaching and learning. Soon, progress reports will arrive with areas of strengths and needs. Take some time to reflect on those strengths and areas you and your child would like to see growth. As a school we have committed to teach our students how to be goal-directed and resilient. This Portrait of a Graduate skill will help our students develop in the following areas.
- Engages in healthy and positive practices and relationships to promote overall physical and mental well-being.
- Persists to accomplish difficult tasks and to overcome academic and personal barriers to meet goals.
- Uses time and financial resources wisely to set goals, complete tasks, and manage projects.
- Shows strong understanding and belief of self to engage in reflection for individual improvement and advocacy.
Counting Down the Decades!
As a school we will begin to count down the decades! We will have number stations set up all around the school to reinforce math concepts like skip counting, finding the difference, mental math, fair share and so much more! On each decade day, you can choose to dress up wearing the fashions of that decade. It's your choice! As a school, we're working to improve student performance in math. One strategy is to make learning about math fun and engaging. We hope you'll join in on the fun! 50's day is tomorrow!
Here are the rest of the dates for future planning!
