Veteran’s Day Concert

Please join us on Monday, November 11th, for our annual Veteran’s Day concert at 10:30 am in the Fairfax Villa gym. All students and staff are encouraged to wear RED, WHITE, and Blue! Veterans and immediate family are invited to a reception prior to the program beginning at 10:00 am in the library and will be escorted to the program at 10:30 am. If you are a Veteran attending, or family member of a Veteran who will be attending, please RSVP HERE so we can ensure to provide a sufficient amount of seating.

All community members attending the performance will need to sign in using the Visitor Management System (VMS). If you have previously scanned your drivers license using the VMS, you will check in at a designated table in the lobby and receive a visitor tag. If you have not previously scanned your driver’s license using the VMS, please allow time to do so prior to the event.

Green Out!  This Friday!

This Friday, November 8th, students will attend our newly formatted quarterly assemblies emphasizing Positivity Project Character Traits and unity as Villa Dragons. Students are invited to participate in a school wide ‘Green Out’ by wearing Green!  Green is the base color for the Positivity Project, representing hope, optimism, and endurance. Green also happens to be one of our school colors! Should green not be available, students are invited to wear any of our school colors (blue, green, or white).

Please Return Federal Impact Aid Survey

FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid. The form was sent home in your child’s THT folder. Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.  If you need a replacement form, please contact Jose Flores at 703-267-2801 or JLFlores@fcps.edu.

New This Week - on Our Fairfax Villa Website!

Read the results of the FCPS Parent Engagement Survey. The survey asked families to provide their feedback on their engagement at their child’s school in six core areas: welcoming environment, communication, student success, advocacy, family and school partnerships, and collaboration with the community. Learn how our school, our pyramid, our region and all FCPS are regarded in those areas by our families.
