Creativity

Dear Marshall Road Families,

Next week we will focus on creativity. People who are creative can look at the world in original ways. We will teach your children that creating is inventing, taking risks, making mistakes, showing their true self, thinking outside of the box and experimenting with their ideas.

Creative students are consistently thinking of new ways to do things. They have a strong imagination and they are brave because creativity takes courage. We will encourage students to generate many different ideas and pursue them with energy and enthusiasm.

“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”  Joseph Chilton Pearce

Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid Forms were sent home on October 22 in Tuesday Folders for each child attending Marshall Road. We are missing over 50% of the forms. Please return the completed, signed and dated form by Wednesday, October 30. 100% participation is critical for obtaining our fair share of federal funding. All results are confidential.

Please make sure you have signed up for a parent-teacher conference. Our teachers are looking forward to this special time with parents. Please email your child’s classroom teacher if you have not yet scheduled your conference.

Don’t forget that Marshall Road ES does not allow students to wear costumes of any kind to school on Halloween. We hope you enjoy the holiday if you celebrate, but please keep the masks, costumes, candy and props at home.  Thank you very much for honoring this request.

Have a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Heiges, Matt Chapman and Sue Kirby
