Student Services

This week in the 7th grade, counselors and clinical staff screened a Wellness video helping students identify symptoms and signs of depression. Students were encouraged to “ACT,” meaning Acknowledge, Care, and Tell. This same video was screened last year for current 8th graders. We encourage families to have conversations with students about the “ACT” acronym, along with managing stress and mental wellness. FCPS has many resources that can help guide the conversation here.

Federal Impact Aid Survey

On Tuesday, October 22nd, the Federal Impact Aid Survey was sent home with all of our Eagles.  FCPS requires one completed form to be returned for every student.

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education.  These funds are used to support all FCPS schools and centers.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date and return the survey to your child's school.  If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in section 3.  All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by Wednesday, October 30th.  All results are confidential.

See this link for details.
