Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid

Beginning on October 21, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid. Students will be bringing home the Federal Impact Aid Forms tomorrow Tuesday, October 22nd and every form must be signed, dated, and returned to their 1st Period Teacher by Thursday, October 24th.

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3.  All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by October 24. All results are CONFIDENTIAL.

FCPS Digital Citizenship Week - October 21-25

FCPS is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week from October 21-25, 2019! This year’s theme is Media Balance and Well-Being: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Your Technology.

Franklin Middle School throughout the school year as an FCPSOn School focuses on several topics that deal with different aspects of Digital Citizenship.

Students and families are encouraged to reflect on their own relationship with technology, their media habits, and begin to think of ways to make some healthy adjustments.

Developing good Digital Citizens does not stop when Digital Citizenship week ends on Friday. We hope to facilitate more lessons throughout the school year from Common Sense Media and work towards becoming a Common Sense Media Certified school!
