Cherry Blossom Tree Planting Ceremony at Lake Braddock You've probably noticed some new trees that line the school's main entrance drive. These six cherry blossom trees were generously donated by All Nippon Airways as a result of a grant request written and submitted by Ms. Yuki Melvin, Japanese language teacher here at Lake Braddock. This week, representatives from All Nippon Airways and the National Cherry Blossom Festival staff members visited the school to take part in the tree planting ceremony. Guests were treated to beautiful musical performances and a great speech by some of our students. We are very appreciative for these incredible cherry blossom trees and, much like our Japanese program here at Lake Braddock, we look forward to watching them blossom for years to come.

Lake Braddock Chamber Orchestra Performance at School Board Meeting The Lake Braddock Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Clayton Allen were invited to perform the National Anthem at the FCPS School Board Meeting held this Thursday, October 24th at Luther Jackson Middle School. The Chamber Orchestra was accompanied by a fabulous percussion ensemble from the Lake Braddock Band and an accomplished pianist from the Lake Braddock Orchestra. They performed a spectacular rendition of our nation’s best known patriotic composition. We are extremely proud of them and their representation of Bruin excellence.
