Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact AID

Beginning on October 21, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid. Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an anticipated $3 million dollars in grant funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers. For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3.  All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by October 30. All results are CONFIDENTIAL.  See the video link for more information - https://youtu.be/uPqC3BLf3Ow

Socktober

Join Lake Braddock SS and its elementary feeder schools in collecting socks for those in need.   Please help us teach students the value of giving all this month by having your child donate new socks.  Please contact Mr. Austin, our school counselor, if you have any further questions.

Positivity Project

This week our students are learning about integrity.  The Positivity Project defines integrity as doing the right thing even when no one is watching.  They have the courage not to follow the crowd if it means going against their beliefs.  Our daily news show has featured videos and quotes to reflect on this trait.  During the week of October 21 our students will focus on Perspective.  You can extend your child’s learning by going to the Ravensworth website at https://ravensworthes.fcps.edu/about/positivity-project
