To celebrate and cheer on our home team, we are encouraging students to wear Nats shirts or jerseys on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 for spirit day!

Digital Citizenship Week
FCPS is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week from October 21-25, 2019! This year’s theme is Media Balance and Well-Being: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Your Technology. Our school is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week by focusing on developing healthy habits around technology use. There will be some special visitors on the WVRS Morning News program during Digital Citizenship week, and we will have a Spirit Day on Friday to foster awareness of how important it is to “lei (lay) off the tech” at various times in order to really connect with those around us. Parents may choose to sign up to receive text messages from Common Sense Media with Tips for Health Tech Balance (for children ages 3-8).
Friday, October 25: Spirit Day “Lei Off the Tech” - wear Hawaiian clothing and take a break from screens to connect more in person. Leis will be distributed for all to wear as a reminder to “lei off” and take a break from screens as appropriate.
