Dear Bonnie Brae Family,
Beginning Tuesday of next week, door 3 at Kiss and Ride will be closed as they finalize the walkway and install a new door. Door 4 will be used for about a week while this is happening.
Ken Wilson from Fire and Safety walked thru the building and made recommendations that will allow us to choose alternate routes to maintain student safety. It's encouraged that we conduct a "blocked entry" fire drill to give students and teachers an opportunity to think quickly and make a safe decision to exit the building.
October is Fire Prevention Month! The goal of Fire Prevention Month is to raise awareness about fire safety and help ensure your home and family is prepared in the event of an emergency.
Talk to your students about your home fire drills and how they might exit safely if a door or a hallway were blocked with smoke or debris. When we practice emergency drills, our students and staff stay calm and can make quick decisions that keep them safe.
