brady

Mrs. Brady’s class learned about temperature and how thermometers work!

Student Holiday

Monday, October 14th will be a student holiday and teacher workday. SACC will be open and they are asking parents to let them know if their children will be coming on that day. SACC will have an Open House for parents that afternoon. See SACC staff for more information.

October Spirit Day

Show your school spirit by dressing like your favorite storybook character on Friday, October 25th. Students are encouraged to bring the book or a copy of the cover, and no masks or weapons are permitted. We look forward to seeing the creative spirit of Lees Corner!

Hallowingo

You're invited to Hallowingo at Lees Corner Elementary! It's BINGO, Halloween style. Arrive in costume (or not), bring all your family, and be ready for a festive yet not-so-spooky Halloween party with a chance to WIN!! Pledge members- FREE family admission and Bingo Packet, Standard Membership or Non Members- $10.00 per family pre-sale or $12 at the door.

Admission, Bingo Cards and Basket Raffle tickets can be purchased at https://leescornerpta.memberhub.store/

The Hallowingo flyer can be found here.

If you want to avoid the crowds, join the PTA with your pledge and pay online from the comfort of your home!

Why make a PLEDGE? If you make a tax deductible pledge to LCES it will free families from having to do a major fundraiser throughout the school year where the school only earns 50% of sales.

The PTA funds field trips, after school activities, Hallowingo, Cultural Arts Assemblies, 6th grade basketball game & Luncheon,  book fair, staff development and much more.

We need you! Please consider joining and pledging today

Fun Fit Friday Dropoff Reminder

We are so happy that so many students and families are participating in Fun Fit Fridays! If you haven't joined us yet, we welcome you to join us.

If you are dropping off your child(ren) for F3, please drop them off at Kiss and Ride so they may use the sidewalk to get to the track. Dropping students off across the street or in the parking lot is a safety concern. Also, please do not park in the front parking lot as buses need to be able to enter and drop off students during arrival.

Veterans Day

If you have family members who are active duty military or veterans, we invite you to send in pictures of them. Pictures will be used to create a display in our lobby to honor those who have served our country in the military. If you have any questions, please email 3rd grade teacher Amelie Krikorian at alkrikorian@fcps.edu

AAP Parent Information

Thank you to all who attended the Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) meeting on Monday night.    If you would like access to the information that was shared, you can find a copy of the PowerPoints on the Lees Corner website.

Props Needed

Parents we are looking to borrow any western type items for our 4th grade musical this year.  We are specifically looking for a “covered wagon” (like 6th grade uses for Western day) and hobby horses (stick horses) that we could borrow or take off your hands.  Any help will be greatly appreciated. Questions? Contact music teachers Leah Kmetz at lekmetz@fcps.edu or Emily Messier at ecmessier@fcps.edu.
