A Note From The Principal

Wildcat families,

Last week was my first homecoming week at Centreville High School, and I was so impressed with the energy and excitement of our students and the community.  Students and staff were engaged in fun activities all throughout the week, and Wildcat spirit was clearly evident. We are fortunate to have amazing students, a caring faculty and staff, and a supportive community all coming together to create a vibrant culture at CVHS.

At CVHS, we remain committed to ensuring high quality classroom instruction and a positive caring school culture.  Teachers have been focused on student engagement and the implementation of FCPSOn laptops in the classroom to enhance the learning experience for students.  Teachers are collaborating regularly and discussing instructional practices to best meet the needs of our students. We are deepening our implementation of social emotional learning and the RULER program, and we are sharing our positive school-wide expectations of Respect, Ownership, Achievement, and Relationships (ROAR) through ongoing advisory lessons.  While there are always aspects of school that require our attention and continuous improvement, last week’s homecoming celebration was an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful school culture we have at CVHS.

I am fortunate and proud to be part of this great school.  I look forward to our continued work together to achieve great things for our students.  Be sure to say hello at upcoming events and reach out should you have any questions or concerns.  Go Wildcats!

Chad Lehman

Principal
