Digital Citizenship - Week 1

FCPS is celebrating Digital Citizenship in October!

At Twain we will be highlighting 5 different themes surrounding Media Balance and Well-Being: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Your Technology. Our school is celebrating Digital Citizenship with activities focused on developing healthy habits around technology use. Students will have a choice board to select at least one activity a week that matches the weekly theme. Parents can also choose to sign up to receive text messages from Common Sense Media with Tips for Health Tech Balance (for children ages 3-8).

Every Twain Student will receive a Student Choice Board on Friday filled with activities.  We suggest that students complete at least 1 of these activities each week.  (Some links on the board will require a student login to Google. Ask your student to help with this. This document is also posted on Twain's Digital Citizenship Google Classroom.)

Below you’ll find resources and suggested activities to help support healthy habits at home too.

Week 1: Families are encouraged to reflect on their own relationship with technology, their media habits, and begin to think of ways to make some healthy adjustments.
