Interims

Today students in grades 1-6 received their interims.  Interim reports are meant to communicate your child’s academic and social/emotional progress so far this school year.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you wish to speak further regarding their progress.

 

Reporting Absences and/or Changes of Transportation

Do you need to report that your child is absent, or you need to change the way they are getting home?  You can submit this information by going to the Ravensworth website at https://ravensworthes.fcps.edu/  Scroll to the bottom, click on Attendance or Transportation Forms to submit an Absence or Change in Transportation.  You may also email your teacher, so she is aware of any changes.  If you chose to email the teacher add sghall@fcps.edu, ksinha@fcps.edu, tldunbar1@fcps.edu and bbmorgan@fcps.edu.  This will notify the office staff and your child’s teacher of any changes in transportation or absences.

 

Positivity Project

This week our students are learning about the trait Open-mindedness.  The Positivity Project defines open-mindedness as the willingness to actively search for evidence that goes against one’s favored beliefs, plans, or goals.  Our daily news show has featured videos and quotes to reflect on this trait.  During the week of October 7 our students will focus on Other People Matter 2: Being Present and Giving Others My Attention.  You can extend your child’s learning by going to the Ravensworth website at https://ravensworthes.fcps.edu/about/positivity-project
