POSITIVITY PROJECT

The theme for the Positivity Project next week is "Open Mindedness" and the students will learn about how being open-minded will help them make more accurate decisions - and decisions that they won't regret. #otherpeoplematter

WALK TO SCHOOL DAY

Wednesday October 2nd is International Walk to School Day. Lake Anne will participate as a family by meeting at the Hook Road Park at 8am for coffee and bagels. Then we will walk or bike to school together at 8:30am. We hope to see a large crowd there.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Fall After School Programs begin Monday, September 30. The program needs parents from 3:25pm - 3:45pm the first two weeks to make sure students get to the right room. The office will have the class rosters and the room assignments. Make sure to bring your driver's license in order to check in at the front office. Click here to sign-up!

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, on Friday, October 11th, ALL Lake Anne Elementary students and staff will have the opportunity to wear similar traditional costumes to those from a Spanish-speaking country. Everybody can participate!

2019 YEARBOOKS

Did your child miss out on an opportunity to purchase a yearbook last year? Luckily, we still have some extra copies left to sell. If you are interested in purchasing one, please bring in $10.00 to the front office and we will be happy to give you a yearbook! This is a first come, first served basis.

QUESTIONS KIDS WILL ANSWER

Are you looking for new conversation starters to talk to your kids about their school day? Rather than the usual, "How was school today?" try one of following:

What rule was the hardest to follow today?
What is one thing you hope to learn before the school year is over?
Which person in your class is your exact opposite?
Which area of your school is the most fun?
Which playground skill do you plan to master this year?

Friday October 4: PTA Movie Night. 6pm Picnic. 7pm Movie.

Monday October 14: Student Holiday. Columbus Day.

Thursday October 17: Dining 4 Dollars at Counter Burger
