HMS Fest

HMS Fest: The 2019 HMS Fest will be held after school on Thursday October 17th from 2:30-4pm.  All students are invited to attend this free event that includes a DJ, games, and socializing.  We will sell snacks and spirit wear.  Late buses will be available to bring students home after the event.  This annual tradition is a great opportunity for our students to come together and display school spirit. Class of 2025 (7th Graders) traditionally dress in red and Class of 2024 (8th Graders) dress in black. Stay tuned for more details!  We need your help to make HMS Fest a success!  We are looking for chaperones and volunteers to donate snacks for the event. Please click this link to sign up: 

Every Day Counts!

If you know in advance that your child will miss school, please complete and submit the Prearranged Absence Form. Forms must be submitted in advance to allow adequate time for administrative review. When planning trips, please keep in mind that absences add up quickly, and students who are absent 10 percent of the school year, or just two days per month, are considered “chronically absent.”

  • Students who are proficient to fluent in another language can register for the World Language Credit Exam now through October 10th. Register with your counselor. More information is on the Herndon MS website!
