REGISTRATION: Pre-register by October 4th to be guaranteed a Dogwood hat. You may also register on-site on October 19th. However, hats are not guaranteed.
FEE: $10 per person
AMENITIES: Dogwood hat to all participants who are registered by October 4th.

Arrival and Dismissal are very busy times on the streets near Dogwood and in our parking lots.
Please drive slowly and carefully when driving to drop off or pick up. Please take extra time to check for pedestrians at crosswalks. Thank you for focusing on the road and avoiding distractions like cell phones.

 Every Kindergarten and 1st grade student will be given a green Library bag to carry his/her Library book home and back to school each week. Please help your child develop responsibility in taking care of and returning his/her book each week. The front of the bag will have the student’s name, at the top, and teacher’s name, at the bottom. The back of the bag will let you know which day your child will be going to Library. Library bags started going home on Monday, September 23.
Students in second grade and select students in grades 3-6 will be taking the CotAT-Custom Form ability test. Student participation in this assessments is important. Please avoid scheduling appointments during this assessment window. Parents of students in grades 3-7 are able to request a one-time retest for either the CogAT or the NNAT. In order to request a retest, please contact School Test Coordinator, Jamie Gadley jcgadley@fcps.edu by September 27th.

You are invited to attend an evening opportunity to preview the Family Life Education media and lessons and to talk with school staff about the program. The meeting will be held on October 8, 2019 at 6pm in the Terraset ES cafeteria. Terraset ES is located at 11411 Ridge Heights Rd, Reston, VA 20191. All program materials and media for all grade levels will be available for your review at this time.

Dogwood Hours:
8:35am: Doors open
Bus riders and walkers enter through the front door and Kiss and Ride students enter through 5. All students go directly to classrooms.
8:50 am: Instruction begins
3:35 pm: Dismissal
Any changes to Dismissal procedures must be communicated before 3 pm.
