#SOAR Teacher Grants in Action!
School has started, and we're hearing great things from around the district about the projects that have been funded by the Foundation's #SOAR teacher grants. Follow us on Twitter, @fcpsfoundation, to see what schools are posting and see the adorable photos.
And read our latest blog post about a coffee bar that the Foundation funds established at Cedar Lane School. The coffee bar is a student-run enterprise that teaches special needs students skills they can use in a job, like store operations, supply ordering, customer service, and order fulfillment. Plus they are having a great time!

The event will recognize the Foundation's grant program and showcase some of the teachers who are using Foundation funds to create work-based learning programs for their students. Attendees will hear a keynote address from the commander at Ft. Belvoir about military connected families in FCPS.
