Back To School Night

Please join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 18^th at 6pm. Come and meet the administrative team, your child’s teachers, and walk through your child’s schedule. We hope to see you then!

Picture Day

September 19^th and 20^th are Picture Day! Student pictures will be taken through PE classes. Parent volunteers are always needed and welcome. Volunteers will earn a $35 picture credit voucher! Please call 703-813-3800 if you are able to assist.

After School Program News

Poe’s After-School Program starts on September 23^rd and we are excited to share that we have added a fourth day of late buses! Our After-School Program will run Monday through Friday from 2:15-4:45pm and is free for all students. We will have late buses on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Fridays will be a parent pick-up day. Please make sure to return the purple After-School Program registration form that was in your child’s Open House packet if you have not done so already. Stay tuned for more information!

Thomas Jefferson HS for Science and Technology

Applications for Thomas Jefferson HS for Science and Technology are available online at www.tjadmissions.org. TJHSST is a FCPS regional governor’s high school for students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Any 8^th grade student who is currently enrolled in an Algebra I or higher level Math class may apply. The deadline for applications is Friday, September 27^th at 4pm.
