Cardinal's Message

Cardinal's Message

1

Dear Cunningham Park Families and Friends,

We can’t believe we are already in the middle of September! Our third week of school was our first full week and was packed with exciting activities for the students . Everyone in the school seems happy and there’s a great energy in the building. In classrooms, students are continuing to learn routines and creating their classroom communities. We welcomed our youngest Cardinals, with all of our preschool students completing their first week of school. On Thursday, we had our LIFT breakfast for students who participated in the summer reading program (pictured).  Students enjoyed a great breakfast and discussed some of the books that they had read over the summer break.  That night Ms. Cortez hosted a parent information evening for Spanish speaking parents.  It was great to see so many of our families join us to learn about the upcoming school year.

We hope you have a safe and wonderful weekend. We will see all of the students on Monday!

P2 Focus for Next Week: Curiosity

Curiosity is a crucial component of one's character. Our
innate urge for discovery and exploration is a key element of our human desire for wisdom and knowledge. It’s what keeps us intrigued in the plotlines of movies and books. It’s what pushes us to try new activities or travel to different places. All individuals experience curiosity, but differ in their willingness to experience it – behaviorally, intellectually, and emotionally. -from Positivity Project
